Species Design Guide
DESCRIBE THE ENVIRONMENT
What is the weather like?
Is it mountainous, more like a plain? Describe the landscape and be as detailed as possible.
What is it rich in? And lacking in?
Anything else you want to add?
SURVIVAL
How do they get water? How often and how much of it do they need? This has to do with evolution of the species. (if your species does not require water to survive, explain)
What is their food source? How do they gather, harvest, or hunt it? Establishing their diet is important in shaping their lifestyle, so be thoughtful with your response.
Are they nesters, building a home in a permanent place, or are they noma

update: 3-6-13: Part one of a beginners sheet is now available. will be working on part 2 [link]
Update: 8-22-2012: Added skeletal. I can't believe I forgot that!! Which really sucks because I finished a sheet without it! If anyone else spots anything that might be added please let me know and I'll add it! oievey! well at least I thought of all the other stuff.
Made a free to use outline for use in creating original Races or Creatures. and decided to give it out as a free resource. enjoy! maybe even link me to what creatures you have created! Thanks TSD for the input.
Fill in what is applicable for your species and then boom you have your outline for the full species sheet you want to write.
Peek in often! I've been getting ideas on other details to add. I think I want to make this basically the "creature creation sheet for dummies" sheet so it may well have all kinds of details to choose from that many of us never think of when deciding what to put into the creature such is the various birth methods listed.
NOTE: This sheet when used properly WILL slow any progress making a creature lol! Not in a bad way! But it will. I've been working on one species just because I've been working off this sheet! It's made things longer, BUT easier!
